Healthy Bhel Puri

Bhel Puri is a popular Indian Street style Chaat made with fresh and crisp vegetables mixed with puffed rice and seasoned with spicy, sweet and tangy sauces. Here is a healthy version of Bhel puri which made with fresh onion, tomato, carrot, cucumber, pomegranate and cilantro along with the original sauce/ chutneys.  Come, let’s see how to make this healthy and easy recipe at home with easy method and step by step pictures.

  1. Puffed rice/Pori – 2 cups
  2. Green chutney- 2 tsp
  3. Sweet chutney- 2 tbsp
  4. Onion – 1
  5. Tomato – 1
  6. Carrot- 1
  7. Cucumber- 1
  8. Pomegranate- 1/4 cup
  9. Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp
  10. Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  11. Chilli powder – 1/4 tsp
  12. Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  13. Peanuts (otional) – 2 tbsp
  14. Papdi – 10
  15. Sev- 1/2 cup


  1. Preparation: Finely chop onions, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, coriander leaves and keep all the ingredients ready. To a large mixing bowl, add green chutney, sweet chutney, red chilli powder and chaat masala.

2. Add all the vegetables along with pomegranate and lemon juice to it and mix well.

3. Add the puffed rice to it and mix gently.

4. Roughly break the papdi and add to it along with peanuts and mix well.

5. Finally add sev and garnish with coriander leaves and pomegranate. Serve immediately for fresh and crisp bhel puri. Delicious, flavourful and healthy bhel puri is ready to eat.
