Cheesy Nachos with Salsa is an simple and tasty party appetizer consisting of nachos in cheese sauce and salsa. I have tasted this in a restaurant and loved it instantly. Ingredients

    For cheese sauce
  • Butter – 2 tsp
  • All purpose flour – 1 tbsp
  • Milk – 1/2 cup
  • Cheddar Cheese/ Mexican cheese blend – 1/2 cup
  • Salt – as required
  • Ground pepper – 1/4 tsp (optional)
  • For assembling

  • Nachos/ Tortilla chips – 1 cup
  • Prepared cheese sauce – 4 tbsp
  • Salsa – 2 tbsp
  • Cilantro – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. For the cheese sauce: Heat butter in  a saucepan and allow to melt. Add all purpose flour to it and mix well without lumps.
  2. Add milk and stir continuously in medium flame.
  3. When the milk thickens, add the cheese and mix well. Season with salt and pepper powder (if adding) and allow the cheese to melt completely and form thick saucy consistency. Switch off and allow to cool to room temperature.
  4. To assemble, arrange nachos in large plate. Add salsa and cheese sauce alternatively and garnish with cilantro and serve immediately. Delicious Cheesy Nachos and Salsa is ready to eat!

Notes

  • You can add onion, bell pepper, corn, beans etc and make loaded nachos.
  • Consume immediately as the nachos will become soggy in a while.
